ABERYSTWYTH SHOW 2007
Saturday 9th of June 2007 saw the Aberystwyth and Ceredigion County Show. The show fields are actually due east of Aberystwyth at a place called Capel Bangor. Highly organised show schedule, nice website:
www.aberystwythshow.com & C & D classes not running at the same time. ( Ignore their map though, unless you can stand on your head & look in the mirror at the same time). Horrid loos, but you can't have everything.

The weather was really good, a bit too good as some of the classes had a poor turn out - I can only hope that it was because they were on the hay. Nevertheless, I'd never seen the Nebo or Fronarth Studs at work before, nor had I actually seen a Maesmynach under saddle although everyone always talks about them. I wasn't disappointed. There were some beautifully bred and prepared Cobs and the Section D Stallion class saw the best handling I've seen this year. And despite the heat and the energy put into the performance,
Stormy Tempest Handler didn't repeat the Glanusk wretching display. ( Well done waistcoat boy!)
CHAMPION Cs
Perpetual Challenge Cup for Best Section C exhibit went to
Tyngwndwn Mischief. The Perpetual Challenge Cup for the Best Exhibit of the Opposite Sex to the overall winner of the Section C's went to
Menai Calon Lan (pictured left) who did well to beat the very strong Nebo offering into 2nd in his class. The Davies Bros Padarn Dairy Challenge Cup for the Best Youngstock Exhibit (3 years or under) went to
Tyr Llawn Charity (pictured right) owned by JK Walters, Tredegar, a deserving win for a very pretty youngster and great to see one of the younger handlers doing so well.
CHAMPION Ds
The Cefnhendre Perpetual Challenge Cup for the best Section D exhibit went to
Llamri Lausanne, (pictured top right), whilst the Jim Ystradteilo Perpetual Memorial Cup for the Best Exhibit of the Opposite Sex to the overall D winner went to
Drogeda Stormy Tempest (pictured left)
The Ffynnonoer Challenge Cup for the Best Youngstock Exhibit (3 years or under) went to

the Rhineland Perpetual Trophy for the best C or D under saddle.
