WHAT ELSE AM I UP TO THIS YEAR?
So the show season is upon us… What am I up to this year? Visiting the studs that I help with their websites….sneaking a peak at a few more studs besides, and all being well I’ll also be attending most of the following and a few more besides:
July Hmmm, let me think, what shall I do?? Where shall I go? Oh what a tease I am!
Monday 19th – Thursday 22nd is the Royal Welsh Show. (LD2 3SY) But beware the altered schedule if there was something in particular that you wanted to see: check out this link and scroll down to page 11 to ensure that the bit you most wanted to see is still on the day you thought it might be. (For example Welsh Cs & Ds under saddle is now Monday, although M&M classes remain on the Thursday)
August I'm signed up for my local area association Carmarthenshire WPCA's stud visit, which is to the Brynseion Stud on Sunday 1st of August. Really looking forward to this, I believe there are still a few places places left, if anyone is interested in going, they should get in touch via the CWPCA website.(Obviously you will need to be / become a member of the Association first.
I would imagine that I’ll find it hard to resist the urge to attend the Aberaeron Festival of Welsh Ponies and Cobs on Sunday the 8th (midday start) which is held annually in the square smack bang in the middle of Aberaeron.
And I expect I’ll tag along to the Welsh National Show which is on Sunday the 29th of August, NB the new venue which is at the Three Counties Show Ground WR13 6NW, but I go to this just for my own pleasure, so you won't see any results on my website. I hope that the lovely atmosphere travels to the new venue, it's one of my favourites of the year.
September I expect I will go to at least the Ceredigion Foal Show and will know the date nearer the time, but it will be a Saturday, between the middle and end of the month.
