Rodney is a super all round typical Welsh. He is full of character, good temperament, with no vices, blemishes or ailments.
He has good bone and plenty of feather with good Maesmynach, Nebo, Derwen blood lines. He is fun to to be around and although he is not a plodder he is a very safe ride. He is up to date with vaccinations and dentist and worming.
He is excellent in traffic, farm vehicles, excellent to hack out alone or in company and has done the occasional hunt (jump + flat). He is good to shoe, clip, catch, bath, groom and with the dentist. He can some times take 5 mins to load, and likes to have space when travelling in a trailer (i.e. Ifor Williams) so he currently travels in an Ifor 505 with a full breast bar and no partition. He is fine in large trailers (i.e. equitrek) or lorrys + will happily stand eating hay
His full life history is known having only two real owners (his breeder and me for the past 8 years) He is a real genuine horse and has performed well at many shows both local (winning many championships) and county level. He has been placed in the ridden Welsh D at the Great Yorkshire Show and has qualified for P UK + BSPS over the years and been well placed in flat and M & M working hunter classes at the championship shows. He has done some unaffiliated prelim dressage with pleasing results
He is currently 'living his dream' being ridden about 4 times a week hacking, schooling + jumping and being spoilt and this is the life I would like him to continue. He would be perfect for a mother / daughter share, or some one wanting a good safe hack who could turn his hoof to competing if desired as he is always in the ribbons
