Below the photos is a history of the Stud. If you wish to contact Delme, please feel free to email this site, & I will forward the message to him.

Twynmelyn Stud  has been producing Welsh Cobs for over thirty years.  Back in the early 70's before the advent of bikes, trikes & quads, there was a genuine reason for producing a good quality cob - it was the best way to check your livestock.  These days, Delme  can generally be found cruising about on four wheels not four hooves, but he has remained consistent in producing a useable biddable beast, hardy and strong enough to carry you round Llyn y Fan lake all day.

The foundation mare of the Twynmelyn Stud was Gosen Bela, purchased from the Penllwynuchel Stud in Llanpumsaint, near Carmarthen.  Put to Oakhatch Cymydog Da, she produced Twynmelyn Chess.

Twynmelyn Chess progeny included Twynmelyn Black Lady (by Derwen Dairy Express)  & Twynmelyn Lady Doreen (by Nebo Brenin).

Twynmelyn Lady Doreen produced Twynmelyn Queen Elizabeth and Twynmelyn Welsh Poppy (both by Horeb Euros) who have been retained as broodmares by Delme.  Twynmelyn Morfyd (again by Horeb Euros)  was sold on & now resides in Sweden.  Delme then sold Lady Doreen on and she has continued to be a valuable brood mare to the Quob stud, producing amongst others, Quob Ambition (by Menai Sparkling Image) and Quob Lady Bermuda (by Commonfields Ace High)

Twynmelyn Black Lady was the dam of Twynmelyn Dream Lady (by Tireinon Triple Crown) & Twynmelyn Welsh Lady (by Nebo Daniel) .  Twynmelyn Welsh Lady has gone on to be a super brood mare and is the dam of Ellington Flash Jack.

Twynmelyn Black Lady also produced Twynmelyn Pavarotti when put to nearby stallion Tireve Tywysog Du.

Below is a photo of the senior mares with this years foals (taken June 2007)
